Smoke alarms do not belong in kitchens. The Ei3014 uses a fast response Class A1 thermistor that triggers at 58 °C, so toast, steam and dust are ignored while a pan fire is caught quickly. It is the heat alarm specified for kitchens, garages, boiler rooms and utility rooms in BS 5839-6 systems.
